Management And Staffing

Our team is headed by Executive and Managing Director,  Llenichca van Wyk. As a legally trained professional ,focusing on compliance, insurance and commercial legal spheres, she brings invaluable experience to the company.  She has made huge inroads and has gain invaluable knowledge in  construction, maintenance and repair services for commercial and private clients since heading up the company in 2021.

Our phenomenal team consist of :
Head of operations :  Bayman Bester – project manager, qualified plumber and builder with extensive experience in the construction industry.
Admin and financial team : Elmarie Botha – senior administrator; Tersia Cooper – junior administrator, Michelle Van Woerden- accountant.
Our technical teams consist of qualified tradesman; which includes but it not limited to builders, cooling technicians ,electricians and plumbers.
These artisans are experienced and fully qualified to not only complete the jobs but oversee and provide on-the job assistance to clients and less experience tradesman alike.

Skills, Expertise And Experience

The company strives to continually bolster its team’s capacity by employing highly skilled & experienced individuals bringing an assortment of expertise onboard. They collectively have in excess of 80 years of experience in the construction & maintenance industry. This includes particular expertise in the areas of Plumbing (all maintenance and repairs including the installation of geysers, etc), Electrical (all maintenance, repairs, rewiring on properties as well as gate motors, garage door motors, and electrical fencing.

The company has also successfully branched out into the maintenance/servicing and repairs of a variety of specialised equipment & facilities within the hospitality, catering, and fast-food services sectors. Team members certified to work on all McDonald’s equipment / KFC equipment, Taylor machines, coffee machines, ice cream/ice machines, grillers, fryers, cooler & freezer rooms and continually attend training courses to expand the range.

ONGOING TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT AND SKILLS TRANSFER

Carat Maintenance & Development is committed to the ongoing, up-skilling, training & development of all staff. This is clearly evident in the number of training courses attended by individuals and financial investment. The added expertise enhances the experience and expands the array of services made available to clients. Suppliers and external experts are regularly brought in to provide staff with in-service and onsite training, the transfer of skills with development opportunities at both theoretical and practical levels.
